318 daily devotions in pdf format and on 2 audio MP3 CDs

Each of the daily devotions in this book consists of a topic, a portion of Scripture, a short meditation, a prayer, and a concluding hymn verse. It would seem that there are daily devotions for each day of the year, less the Sundays (when the "daily bread" was received at Church). The devotions are arranged in a systematic order, following the structure of Martin Luther's Small Catechism. These would be suitable for (1) personal daily devotions, (2) re-affirming the basic doctrines of the Christian faith, (3) understanding what Lutherans believe, teach and confess, and why, and (4) providing thoughts, outlines and materials for Bible classes and sermons.

The 318 daily devotions in Daily Bread are being made available in single-pages (8.5" x 11" pdf formatted for half-sheet bulletin inserts) and on two MP3 CDs (18 hours of listening). You may download the pdf files for free (see the list below). The 2 CDs may be purchased.. Please note that you may make as many copies of the CDs as you desire. In fact, you are encouraged to do so. (See the note below on making copies on the "Audio CDs link in the left menu.)

A very special thanks to Rev. Bruce & Mrs. Mary Ley, who have scanned, proof-read, formatted into half-sheet size and made available all 318 devotions. It is a tremendous undertaking and they have provided a God-pleasing resource to individual Christians and to the Church throughout the world. If you would like to thank them, you may do so by sending an email to: Rev. Bruce & Mrs. Mary Ley. Clicking on the links below will provide you with a one-page, pdf sheet. These are provided to you free of charge.
